About me

Well hello there-
 I am Madeleine Franklin, most people call me Maddy. Im a 17 year old lady in Northern California.

 I really discovered my own style the summer between freshman and sophomore year. Sophomore year I realized that I didn't like looking like everyone else. I knew I had always had a different view on things than everyone else but I hadn't began expressing it until then, and so began my fashion journey.  I wanted to buy unique clothes, but most unique clothes are on the expensive side; unless you thrift. I turned into a thrift shopper extraordinaire, and soon my wardrobe became a jungle of high end sweaters, hand made clothes and vintage dresses. Normally I don't wear an outfit without one item being bought from a thrift store. I was named "Best Sense of Style for my High School Class"

When not working on my style, I am also an artist. I would love to go to college for art, especially if the college was in New York. I paint and draw things that I find aesthetically beautiful. My 2 biggest inspirations are Andy Warhol and Frida Kahlo, because they were avid about making art that was important to them, and didn't give a fuck about what other people thought.

The name Sleeping Plum comes from a children's book of odd poems by Calef Brown called Polkabats and Octopus Slack. My ranch used to be a plum orchard and my family would dry and sell the prunes, so my family had a connection to the "Sleeping Prunes." Personally I don't find Prunes very appealing but I love the idea of Sleeping Plums that are asleep until they are picked off the tree. I think that everyone has the sense of fashion inside of them, it just needs to be awoken.
